World Bamboo Day 2025 – Mumbai

The Phoenix Foundation hosted a two-day celebration of World Bamboo Day 2025 in Mumbai. The event began on 18 September with the World Bamboo Day programme, showcasing the importance of bamboo in sustainable development, innovation, and community livelihoods. This gathering brought together industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to highlight bamboo’s role in environmental conservation and economic growth.

On 19 September, a Roundtable on Bamboo-Based Industry took place as part of the celebrations. This session focused on advancing India’s bamboo-based economy, encouraging collaboration, and identifying opportunities in production, innovation, and market expansion. The event was designed to be a platform for knowledge sharing and networking, shaping the future of bamboo in India.
